A SOLDIER returning from Afghanistan has planned an elaborate homecoming by using scuba-diving gear to sneak up on his wife and kids at the beach.
The U.S Air Force captain stunned his family by emerging from the ocean as they were taking a dip.
Hyrum Bronson left wife Bethany utterly speechless with his appearance, as a family friend captured the emotional moment on camera.
Bethany had not been expecting her husband to return for another three weeks.
Prior to his surprise appearance, the pal had asked Captain Bronson's family what they would say if he was with them.
Not realising he was just a few feet away under the water, daughter Charity replied: "I will love him for always".
And Bethany added: "I love you and miss you."
She also joked: "I want your body."
When Captain Bronson - who had been away from home for six months - emerged from the water, he stated: "Mrs Bronson, your husband's here, reporting for duty."
Both his kids rushed to see him, as Bethany broke down in tears.
