Walmart worker finds lost children's "rule book"...

Parents everywhere buzzed for five days, puzzling over the possible child authorship of an unsigned rule book for life, found outside a Northern California WalMart store. Apparently, a young WalMart parking lot employee found the wee binder outside of the Citrus Heights store. Raymond Flores said he spotted the miniature missive, as he was collecting empty shopping carts near the popular discount store.

After making an online plea, the authors of the rule book were discovered.

Once found, two California cousins, Isabell Busath (10) and Isabella Thordsen (8), explained how they filled the little spiral-bound volume with several practical principles for living, but lost the little red notebook during a trip to their local WalMart.

As it seems, many of the pointers were likely aimed at younger siblings. Busath and Thordsen even happened to mention that they had come up with penalties for disobeying the super-specific rules include in their now-viral list of rules

What rules were listed in the anonymous book?

Here are a few of the 150-plus handwritten do’s and don’ts that were found in the surprise journal, cited in random order, but verbatim and without spelling or grammatical corrections:

• Do things equaly with each other.
• Clean up your messes.
• Do things yourself.
• Put your shoes by the front door when you take them off.
• Don’t bite the dentist.
• Ware your seatbelt.
• Do your homework.
• No making unwanted noise.
• No talking back.
• Tie your shoes or you will fall.
• Don’t color on people.
• Lisen.
• No toys at the table.
• No steeling.
• Don’t get in other people’s business.
• Say excuse me.
• No elbows on the table.
• No pushing.
• Don’t color on other peoples paper.
• No saying ew when someone farts.
• Don’t call each other names.
• No screaming.
• Chew with your mouth closed.
• Don’t keep saying please if someone says no.
• Be safe.
• Try to make things fair.
• Don’t leave your friends behind.
• Recicle.
• No testing and driving at the same time.
• Protect this book.

The spelling and grammar may leave something to be desired, but the two precocious California girls may be onto something.

One question remains, at least for parents of young kids.
