Betty White, still making people laugh at age 90 -"My problem is, I love what I’m doing,”

Betty White still has it.
The 90-year-old comic actress exercised her nimble wit during a call with reporters last week while chatting up the second season of NBC’s “Betty White’s Off Their Rockers.”
The show, full of hijinks and pranks pulled by senior citizens, returns Tuesday at 8 p.m. on WHDH (Ch. 7).
When asked what was left in show business that she would like to do, White fired back, “Robert Redford.”

She then laughed and added, “I just want to keep doing the same things.”
As the seven-time Emmy winner nears her 91st birthday on Jan. 17, “The Golden Girls” and “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” star shows no signs of slowing down.
In addition to “Off Their Rockers,” White also stars in TV Land’s “Hot in Cleveland” and continues to make appearances on late-night TV.
“My problem is, I love what I’m doing,” White said about her career, which spans more than 60 years.
“Everyone says, ‘When are you going to retire?’ How can you quit what you love so much? I’m blessed with good health.”
The California-raised entertainer credits her parents for influencing her love of comedy, especially her father, who shared jokes with her.
“The double entendre just came naturally,” White said of her comic trademark. “Double entendre is one thing, and dirty humor is something else. I don’t like dirty humor.”
White makes a similar distinction of the pranks in “Off Their Rockers.”
“It’s silly and nonsensical, but good-spirited. We are never mean-spirited,” she said. “They know they are being kidded. When we reveal, they are not any the worse for it. Some of the other ones try to get a little sensational and get a little cruel.”
Clips for this season show White discovering she is a long-lost Kardashian and learning how to dance “Gangnam Style” with Korean pop star Psy.
As for her birthday plans, White told the Herald NBC has it covered.
Last year the network hosted a televised bash, the Emmy-nominated “Betty White’s 90th Birthday: A Tribute to America’s Golden Girl.”
A similar celebration is slated for this year, “The 2nd Annual Betty White’s 90th Birthday Special.”
“It was just delightful,” White said of her 90th. “Each person who was there said it was great fun, and it knocked me out.”
