“We had so much support from everyone, at one point it was the worst day of our life and sometimes it was the best day of our life,” JP Norden said before the walk started.
Paul said he couldn’t believe he was about to walk in a relay, a year later.
“I never would have thought I’d be walking after what happened last year,” Paul said.
Liz Norden, the mother of the Norden brothers, said she couldn’t be prouder.
The walk raises money for the Norden Brothers’ continued recovery.
“There’s no money that can change what’s going to happen today for these boys,” Liz Norden said, noting how proud she is of her sons.
Family and friends held a moment of silence at the start line before embarking on the walk.
By 3 p.m., the brothers had made it to Newton Fire Station with a contingent of friends and family.
