Watch as professional baseball prospect Marcus Stroman surprises his mom by paying off her house....

Former Patchogue-Medford star pitcher Marcus Stroman, now a top prospect in the Blue Jays' system, is on the verge of seeing his baseball dream come true. But he apparently saw no reason to make his mom wait for her dream.
Stroman surprised his mom, Adlin Auffant, by paying off her mortgage -- and he captured the emotional moment on video, posting it on Instagram on Monday.
Stroman is 9-5 with a 3.30 ERA and 129 strikeouts in 111.2 innings for New Hampshire, the Blue Jays' Double-A affilliate. The Jays drafted Stroman in the first round of the 2012 draft out of Duke with an eye on making the 5-9 flamethrower a late-inning reliever. But Stroman was switched to starting duty this season and excelled.
