Thanks to Brandon University men's basketball coach Gil Cheung, physical education student Mason Kaluzniak is going to school for free.
Brandon University, a college located in Manitoba, Canada, held a competition throughout the year that gave students the opportunity to win free tuition. At men's and women's hoops games, a student would be chosen randomly from the stands, and if one of the school's hoops player drained a half-court shot, the student won. Heading into last Friday, according to Yahoo!, no student had won the big prize, so the school tweaked the rules to allow the lucky student to choose who took the shot. Kaluzniak chose Cheung, who is also one of his professors according to Yahoo!, and Cheung drilled the shot, earning Kaluzniak a free education.
