Matt Damon goes on strike to bring awareness to the global issue of access to clean water

When he's not taking over late night talk shows, it turns out that Matt Damon has yet another job apart from being a big movie star: He's an advocate for clean water. And as he explained in a faux press conference for his Water.org organization, he's willing to do anything necessary to help point out the importance of clean water and water conservation -- so he's going on strike.
By not using the toilet.
But it's even more extreme than that, he noted: "Until everybody has access to clean water and sanitation, I will not go to the bathroom."
"Wha?" asked a particularly confused reporter.
"The toilet strike, it's important!" cried out Damon. "I implore everybody in this room, please everybody here today, everybody watching at home to just join me: Say no to toilets, say yes to clean water and sanitation for all."
Water Day is March 22, and Damon's "Strike With Me" site is now online.
Is he flushing his career away with such a move? Well, the truth is that Damon's commitment to clean water is ongoing and quite serious. Water.org is an organization Damon co-founded to help people worldwide get access to clean, safe drinking water. In a longer interview from 2011, he talked more extensively, and more earnestly, about the crisis around the world. You can check it out here.
